NorthShore Elite Talent Company's Cheer Programs have been developed by Our Founder, Miss Nabi Jordan-Polk, who hosted the first All-Star Cheer program in Glenview and on the North Shore. She has been coaching, mentoring and teacher training for over 20 years. All NSETC coaching faculty follow USASF safety training guidelines, continuing education courses for coaches and are first aid, AED/CPR and HeadsUP Concussion trained and certified.

NSETC's All-Star Program also hosts Coach Julia, DPT, on our faculty to help with development of our tumbling curriculum. With a focus on injury prevention and individual skill progressions and development for athletes, we are one of the only programs with an in-house PT on our coaching faculty.

All-Star Cheerleading is a competitive program that travels to local competitions in the Chicagoland area. This is a year long program.

What is All-Star (competitive cheerleading)?

  • Competitive cheerleading is a program where athletes tryout annually and are placed on a team in order to compete at the local, regional and national level.

  • Tryouts are each spring and NSETC does not cut athletes. Our tryout process is for athlete placement an d is determined by guidelines set forth by our governing body & scoresheet, USASF.

  • Summer intensive practices run June-August, during which athletes will learn their competition routine.

  • All-Star is different than traditional cheerleading you see on the football field - All-Star athletes do not cheer for another team, but instead learn a routine developed to max out their USASF scoresheet. This scoresheet is then placed against other teams within the same division in order to score against other All-Star Team routines. In All-Star, the cheerleaders cheer for themselves!

  • Competition routines incorporate all elements of traditional cheerleading, aside from "team cheers." All-Star routines focus on building a routine including: Motions, Jumps, Showmanship, Dance, Stunts & Tumbling, .

  • The competitive season runs August-May, with a showcase in October and first competition starting in November. Teams perform in NSETC's Spring Dance Recital each year.

What to expect at All-Star Elite Training:

Our goal is to fully prepare each athlete for try-outs so they are performing at their highest level and can be placed on the team where they will feel the most successful during the competition season.

All athletes will learn elite cheer technique and  will focus on flexibility, strength and conditioning, elite drills, stunts, jumps, kicks, dance, and motions, as well as learn their routine choreography ahead of the season starting.

By registering for Try-outs and Summer Training Camp, you are committing to being on a team for the following season and dropping mid-summer/mid-season or dismissal from any of our teams due poor attendance, negative attitude or behavior will negate the ability to receive any refunds.

Athletes ages 6-18 who are interested in our competitive cheer teams must attend the 2025 try-outs, or contact our office for a private audition.

2025-2026 Placement dates for level/division are the first week of Summer Practice are June 9th-12th, 2025.
