What to expect as a member of an NSETC Dance Team:

Competitive Dance is a season-long commitment and attendance is mandatory for all practices and competitions.

Missing practice due to homework or poor time management skills will not be tolerated.

Our teams will focus on building accountability, integrity, trust, respect, discipline,

loyalty, humility, perseverance and confidence.

Dance Team is not an individual sport and teaching faculty will make decisions for the benefit of the team as a whole. Dancers and Parents are expected to respect these decisions.

Dancers are expected to treat each other and their coaches/teachers with the

utmost respect at all times.

Practices will cover routine development & progressions. Choreography will be a regular focus of weekly rehearsals.

Rehearsal days and times may vary depending on team placement and schedules for each team will be sent out mid-summer

Dancers ages 7-18 who are interested in our competitive dance teams must attend our spring dance clinic and audition (dates TBA) for team placement

Level/division placement will take place in August.

NSETC does not do cuts, every dancer will make a team!

Dancers are required to come to training camp for the summer of 2025, which will be scheduled during each teams respective 2025-2026 Rehearsal time.

Dancers will train their flexibility, strength, & stamina , as well as learn choreography for their respective teams in multiple genres, including:  ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop/breakdancing, lyrical, modern, contemporary, acrobatics and ballroom. There will be additional focus on  alignment, coordination, choreography retention, improv/free-styling, body awareness, elite turns, leaps, jumps, kicks, drills, tricks, auditioning techniques and developing performance quality.

Please come to clinics and camp in proper dance attire, bring a water bottle and a nut-safe snack. All dancers will receive a Boot Camp dance tee.

Our goal is to fully prepare each dancer at auditions so they are performing at their highest level and can be placed on the team where they will feel the most successful during the competition season.

By registering for Dance Team Training Camp, you are committing to being on a team for the following season and dropping mid-summer/mid-season or dismissal from any of our teams due poor attendance, negative attitude or behavior will negate the ability to receive any refunds.
