Maya Gold
She/Her

Teaching Artist and Choreographer

Maya began her dance training when she was three years old, at Lincolnshire Academy of Dance, and continued her training at the University of Kansas, receiving a BA in Dance and a minor in Psychology. She has trained in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, modern, lyrical, hip hop, musical theater, poms and pointe. While at KU, she was the president and 4-year member of the University Dance Company, in which she performed in a pre-professional setting every semester in faculty, student and guest artist pieces. Maya was awarded the prestigious Kuhlke Kane Award as well as a yearly KU Dance Departmental Scholarship, given to talented dancers to study and perform during their undergraduate status. Additionally, Maya co-created and established KU’s first tap dance company, Jayhawk Tap Co., where she co-choreographed their debut performance in Spring of 2022.

Maya is thrilled to share her love and passion of dance at NSETC and work with her students to develop their technique, build their self-confidence, and encourage their artistic expression.
